Green Chair Press is the studio of Susan Angebranndt.
I combine my love of type, poetry and old cranky machines to make prints, fine press books and ephemera. I use an 1890s Chandler and Price platen press, printing from handset type and photopolymer plates.
My prints and ephemera are printed in small batches (limited editions of 25-100) and emphasize typography. My fine press work centers on limited edition "poem books." My books are in collections across the US. You can see a gallery
of all my work on my website.
I also have shops on Supermarket and
Etsy.

Last summer I moved my press from its cramped corner in our garage to a newly rented studio.
The studio has 2 rooms. A small finished space with a door where I keep my paper and binding equipment. And a large unfinished space for my press. Below is the smaller room, with my paper drill, paper cutters and paper drawer.

And this is the other wall, with more paper storage and a place to work .
