How I Print
At Green Chair Press I combine my love of type, poetry and old cranky
machines to make prints, fine press books and ephemera. I use an
1890s Chandler and Price platen press, printing from handset type and photopolymer plates.
My prints and ephemera are printed in small batches
(limited editions of 25-100) and emphasize typography.
My fine press work centers on limited-edition "poem books." This intense focus, together with a design, structure, materials and artwork that speak to the text, aims to give the reader a deeper experience of the poem. My books are in
collections across the US.
I share my studio space with 2 other old (but less cranky) machines: an 1968 VW crew cab and a 1975 vintage race car.
